Mark Horney is an experienced executive and career coach who has worked with successful professionals at all stages of their careers. He is particularly effective at helping individuals and organisations to optimise performance in the workplace and to define and then achieve their strategic objectives. Mark has more than two decades of diverse business experience including roles in the investment banking, healthcare, media, and non-profit sectors. He has managed executive learning programs and leads a team that provides coaching and professional development training to Columbia Business School’s Alumni and Executive MBA program.

Mark uses an integrative approach to leader development that blends his training and experience in business, psychology, and career development to help clients maximise individual and team performance. This approach entails working collaboratively with leaders to help them navigate complex business environments while identifying and building the core skills necessary to achieve measurable results.

Over the past 15 years he has consulted to executives from a wide range of industries to assist senior and emerging leaders in leveraging their strengths to successfully enhance professional capabilities and personal development. His areas of expertise, among others, include executive coaching and leadership development, coaching skills for leaders/managers, stakeholder management, transition management and executive on-boarding, and personnel selection. Mark currently serves as Director of Career Management for Columbia University’s Executive MBA Programs.

He currently serves on the alumni association board for the Columbia Coaching Certification Program and participated for several years as an executive committee member of the MBA Career Services for Working Professionals Alliance.
